About Mount Abu

The only hill station of Rajasthan, Mount Abu is located in the Aravalli Range and offers a cool green oasis rising from the desert. The most important attraction is undoubtedly the Dilwara TemplesDilwara Temples — one of the most stunning pieces of architecture in the country, specifically made plain from the outside to avoid plunderers, with exceptionally intricate marble carvings inside that took over two centuries to complete almost 1,000 years ago. Travellers can enjoy calm boating in Nakki LakeNakki Lake with restaurants and eateries around the lake for local food. The highest peak of the Aravalli Range, Guru ShikharGuru Shikhar, also lies here. Mount Abu Forest Sanctuary with an abundance of flora and fauna is a highlight. At sunset, travellers gather at Sunset Point for panoramic views across the plains. The town's unhurried rhythm, pleasant weather, and proximity to Udaipur make it a perfect add-on to any Rajasthan itinerary.
