About Mahabaleshwar

Mahabaleshwar is a hill station in Maharashtra's Western Ghats, famous for its strawberry farms, ancient temples, lush green hills, and multiple viewpoints. The table-land (Asia's second-longest mountain plateau), Arthur's SeatArthur's Seat, Wilson Point, and Elephant's Head Point offer stunning valley views. Venna Lake is perfect for boating, while Pratapgad FortPratapgad Fort — where the legendary Shivaji met Afzal Khan — is a must-visit historical site. Mahabaleshwar is the source of the Krishna River from an ancient Shiva temple. The old town of Old Mahabaleshwar has the Panchganga Temple where five rivers originate. Fresh strawberries and mulberries are sold everywhere (November to May), and strawberry-with-cream from Mapro Garden is iconic. Panchgani, 18 km away, adds the famous Sydney Point and Table Land to the itinerary.
